Jersey auction

The Bowie Baysox had one of the best seasons in team history in 2008, demolishing individual and team records. Now the Baysox are providing their fans with an opportunity to acquire the most coveted keepsakes of the season: 2008 game-worn jerseys.

While the jerseys for all the big names like Matt Wieters, Brad Bergesen, Chris Tillman and Lou Montanez are available; fans will be able to bid on Baysox jerseys for current Orioles Kam Mickolio, Jim Miller and Chris Waters or Bowie resident Kennard Jones.

The auction will end at 4 p.m. Oct. 6. All jerseys have an opening bid price in their description, along with a minimum bid increment. All bidders must register at www.baysox.com and all auctions must be paid for with a major credit card. No cash, checks or money orders will be accepted. A $5.95 shipping and handling fee will be added to each winning bid.

Country Terror

The annual Halloween attraction at Prince George's Stadium for this year is called Country Terror, and it is being presented by Tulip Gulch Productions. The shows will be Oct. 10 to 12; 16 to 19; 23 to 26 and Oct. 29 to Nov. 1.

Tickets are $20, and the show is indoors, ensuring that each show will go on as scheduled, rain or shine - or snow. The show is rated PG-13 and tickets are available at www.baysox.com.
