2009 schedule
The Bowie Baysox, Class AA Affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles, have released their complete 2009 schedule. The team will open the season with a seven-game road trip beginning in Akron April 8. Bowie will only host one home stand at Prince George's Stadium in the month of April: Akron (16-19) and Erie (20-22).
Bowie will visit each of their five divisional foes in April and May. The Baysox will open June with a four-game series in Trenton (1-3) and their next road trip will send them to Connecticut and New Britain for a pair of three-game series (9-14). Bowie will play the remaining three Northern Division teams on a nine-game road trip July 31 through Aug. 9.
Beginning Aug. 10, the Baysox will play 20 of their final 27 games of the season at Prince George's Stadium. The standard game time for Baysox games Mondays through Saturdays in 2009 will be 7:05 p.m. Sunday games from April 19 through June 7 will begin at 2:05 p.m. Beginning June 21, Sunday games will begin at 6:05 p.m.
There are six exceptions to the standard game times: April 22 (11:05 a.m. versus Erie), May 7 (11:05 a.m. versus. Trenton), July 9 (12:05 p.m. versus. Harrisburg), July 30 (11:05 a.m. versus. Connecticut) and Sept. 6 (2:05 p.m. versus. Harrisburg). The final game of the season will be played Sept. 7, when the Baysox take on the Harrisburg Senators at 2:05 p.m. on Labor Day.
