MARRIED - Erin Michelle Biggs of Bowie and Mark James Roller of Edgewater were married May 10 at St. Jerome Catholic Church in Hyattsville. The bride is a third-grade teacher. Roller is a detective with the Prince George's County Police Department. The couple resides in Crofton.
MARRIED - Richard and Jeannie Davis of New Carrollton have announced the marriage of their daughter, Sabrina Dawn, to Christopher Bryan Lockwood Jr., son of Christopher and Laura Lockwood of Bowie. The Rev. John Barry officiated the Aug. 2 ceremony at St. Edwards Catholic Church in Bowie. Following a honeymoon cruise to the Eastern Caribbean, the couple resides in North Beach.
ENGAGED - Mr. and Mrs. Charles R. Bertles of Cherry Hill N.J., have announced the engagement of their daughter, Alicia Kitty, to Nicholas Randolph Beavers, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert E. Beavers of Bowie. The bride-to-be, a graduate of Cherry Hill High School East, Cherry Hill, N.J., and a graduate of the University of Maryland, College Park, with a degree in cell biology and molecular genetics, is a biological sciences laboratory technician in the Bovine Functional Genomics Laboratory at the U.S. Department of Agriculture in Beltsville. Beavers, a graduate of Lanham Christian High School, Lanham, and the University of Maryland, College Park with a degree in neurobiology and physiology, is an applications specialist for Media Cybernetics in Bethesda. An October wedding is planned in Annapolis.
ENGAGED - Erin Gingerich and Christopher Moore have announced their engagement. The bride-to-be, daughter of Joanne Gingerich of Bowie and Larry Gingerich of Bradenton, Fla., and formerly of Bowie, is a 1994 graduate of Bowie High School. Moore, son of Jerry Moore of Atlanta, Ga., and Jennifer Shank of Tontogany, Ohio, is a 1995 graduate of Redan High School, Stone Mountain, Ga. A Nov. 1 wedding is planned in Bowie.
