Fund raisers
A car wash to benefit the Belle-Aires International Cup Team will be held Saturday from 10 a.m. t 2 p.m. at the Crofton Kmart. They will also hold a fund raiser Tuesday, Sept. 30, from 4 p.m. to close, at Old Bowie Town Grille, 8604 Chestnut Ave. The team will receive 10 percent of food sales during that time. Scouting events
Girl Scouts of service units 7 and 8 will hold an open house Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the West Pavilion at Allen Pond Park. Registration for Girl Scouts will be available. Emergencies preparedness
An emergencies and disaster preparedness event will be held Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at St. Matthew's Church, 14900 Annapolis Road. The free event will feature the fire department's Explorer Program for ages 14-20, how to create a family/individual emergency plan, how to safely use portable generators and more.
