Awana
An Awana program for prekindergarten through seventh grade meets Wednesdays through the school year from 6:45 to 8:15 p.m. at Mt. Oak Methodist Church, 14110 Mt. Oak Road. For information, call 301-249-2230.

Bible courses
Free nondenominational Bible correspondence courses, beginning with an eight-lesson study of the Old and New Testaments, are available.

Bible studies
George Raines, chaplain in the Civil Air Patrol since 1982 and a minister since 1953, offers a free 30-lesson Bible correspondence course.

Chapel tours
Dorsey Chapel, a historic black meeting house-style church located at 10704 Brookland Road in Glenn Dale, offers tours Fridays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The historic site was built in 1900 to serve the black farming community of Brookland and is one of the few remaining turn-of-the-century black Methodist chapels in Prince George's County.

Fruit of the Spirit

Temple Solel is a Reform Jewish congregation located at 2901 Mitchellville Road.
