Fund-raising event planned to support Haitian relief

The organizations that began the effort that brought the city of Bowie together in support of the victims of the tragic tsunami five years ago are back at work again. Bowie Cares: heart 2 heart II will be held Feb. 28, with proceeds going to support Haitian relief efforts following the tragic earthquake.

The concert will take place at the Bowie Center for the Performing Arts and will feature the best in local talent. Already signed on are three local bands: Long Time Coming, Plan 9 and The Crayfish.
