The Bowie Wal-Mart recently awarded the following grants:

$1,000 to Prince George's Chamber of Commerce Foundation to fund educational curriculum and materials for youth and the production of commercials to promote energy and environmental education.

$1,000 to Prince George's Community College Foundation to purchase educational DVDs and enhance current literacy based software to improve students' reading, writing and math skills.

$1,000 to Prince George's County Delta Alumnae Foundation to support the Community Development Center, tutoring programs, obesity prevention programs, computer literacy and reading programs, and scholarships for high school and college students.
