Fund raiser Laurel Regional Hospital Auxiliary will hold a jewelry sale fund raiser Friday, Nov. 20, from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. featuring gold and silver bracelets, earrings, necklaces and charms. Proceeds will go toward capital equipment for the hospital. For information, call Marie Bena, 301-572-5636. PACE program Laurel Regional Hospital and the Metropolitan Washington Chapter of the Arthritis Foundation are offering an exercise program, People with Arthritis Can Exercise, Mondays and Thursdays, through Dec. 17, at 10 a.m. at the hospital. PACE is a community-based, nonclinical program that involves group participation. It includes activities to improve endurance, joint mobility and body mechanics. This program also encourages peer interaction and socialization. The exercises are designed to be within the capability of most people with arthritis. Participants must be able to walk independently, with a device, or to transfer to a straight chair from their wheelchair. The fee is $3 per class. For information, call 301-497-7914. Greenbelt Park Help protect Greenbelt Park from harmful invasive plants the first Saturday of each month at 11 a.m. Meet, rain or shine, at the Sweetgum Picnic area. For information, call 301-344-3944. Aviation museum College Park Aviation Museum, 1985 Cpl. Frank Scott Drive, has scheduled the following: Flight Night - Saturday, 7 to 9 p.m. Tickets are $4. Wear a costume and join in the Halloween fun. Hayrides, storytellers, arts crafts and spooky fun will be featured for kids and families. Wilbur's Workshop - Every fourth Tuesday at 3 p.m., get a taste of the work that went into making early aircraft with a rib-making demonstration in Wilbur's Hangar. Watch as a 1909 Wright wing rib is constructed; and one person will win the rib to take home. Free with museum admission. Peter Pan Club - Every second and fourth Thursday at 10:30 a.m., families with preschool aged children are invited to join the Peter Pan Club. Free with museum admission, the club is ideal for learners up to 5 years old, the club includes story-time and hands-on craft activities. Afternoon Aviators - Fridays from 2 to 4:30 p.m., families with school aged children are invited to Afternoon Aviators. Hospice Hospice of the Chesapeake will offer a Patient Care Volunteer Training course Nov. 7, 14 and 21 from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Prince George's County office, 8724 Jericho City Drive, Landover. Volunteer opportunities include patient care and bereavement support, office support and community outreach. Hospice staff will discuss various volunteer opportunities available and answer questions.
