More than 200 Bowie State University students said they've had enough.

At a rally in front of the Wiseman Student Center Wednesday at noon, students rallied to improve student services, technology and the food service of the university.

Called "We Run This," the campaign's main goal is to transform the identity of Bowie State University by improving the school's services to the students.

According to Aaron Bingea, chairman of We Run This, the rally will "carry out its goals by mobilizing the student body, advocating for change and expressing the concerns of the students with force, while demanding solutions."

"We feel that this campaign is necessary in order to sufficiently communicate the urgency and degree of the student grievances," he said.

The campaign takes on the issues of student services, technology, dining services, school facilities and university initiatives.

Said Bingea, the students at BSU hold that the lack of improvement in these core areas is cause for a dramatic change.

"Starting (today), the students will stop complaining and start advocating," he said. "We realize that pride in one's school starts with the students and not the administration."

Bingea said the movement "has no expiration date" and "will not rest until our message is heard," that explanations are given and real solutions are put into motion.
