Two Bowie students have been named to the dean's list for the spring semester at Stevenson University. They include Juliana Bruzzese, an elementary education major and graduate of Bowie High School, and daughter of Maureen Mallinoff and Michael Bruzzese; and Alane Connolly, an early childhood education major and graduate of Bowie High School, and daughter of Paul and Marva Connolly. *** Hubert Mbonda of Bowie was among the 70 College of Notre Dame of Maryland School of Pharmacy students who participated in the recent White Coat Ceremony at LeClerc Auditorium. The White Coat Ceremony is the School of Pharmacy students' formal induction into the profession. At the ceremony, each student received a white coat from the dean, Dr. Anne Y.F. Lin, and her/his adviser. The students then signed the pharmacy code of ethics and as a group recited the Student Pharmacist Pledge of Professionalism. *** Christy N. Nwolisa of Bowie recently graduated from Excelsior College, Albany, N.Y., with a degree in nursing. *** Shannon Weikle, daughter of Scott and Karen Weikle of Bowie, was recently inducted into the Pi Gamma Mu international honor society of the social sciences at Salisbury University. Weikle, a 2006 graduate of Bowie High School, is a senior early childhood and elementary education major.
