Bradley R. Craddock, son of Michael and Theresa Craddock of Bowie, recently completed the 12-week Marine Corps Recruit Training program at Parris Island, S.C., and a 29-day Marine Combat Training program at Camp LeJeune, N.C.

Craddock is training for his military occupational specialty of Grounds Communications and Repair at the Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center, Twentynine Palms, Calif.

Air Force Airman 1st Class Beverly M. Parks, daughter of Stewart Parks of Glenn Dale and Klea Jackson of Washington, D.C., recently graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.

The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.

Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

Parks is a 2009 graduate of Charles Flowers High School, Springdale.
