Have you heard about the special pension from the Veterans' Administration called "Aid and Attendance"? To be eligible, you are not required to have suffered an injury or wound during your military service, nor to have served overseas or to have actually experienced combat. A veteran does not have to actually die in service for his/her surviving spouse to be eligible for this benefit.
