The Blade-News launched its first sports blog, Left Field, on www.hometownbowie.com July 2 at 12:57 p.m. - a red-letter day is the sports world.

The idea of a blog is to provide not just a fresher approach to reporting sports news from the Bowie area, but also to provide the freshest news regarding Bowie sports goings-on.

As a weekly publication the Blade-News aims to provide the most current and up-to-date news as possible. Left Field will accomplish this goal in the sports field, no pun intended.
