A hearty congratulations to Sen. Douglas J.J. Peters of Bowie's 23rd District who was just elected chairman of the Prince George's County Senate Delegation.

The city has seen Peters go from small business owner to City Council to County Council to the State Senate and now chairman of the entire delegation.

He will be a member of the Senate leadership and play a critical role in reviewing legislation of particular importance to Prince George's County, so says the almighty press release.
