Each of the six Bowie pools that compete in the Prince-Mont Swim League was in action Saturday, thanks to a reprieve from Mother Nature.

Among the two pools that failed to fit in the entirety of their Week 1 meet because of weather was the Severn Crossing Stingrays, who defeated Prince George's Pool, 310-236. The action which began June 20 finally was completed last Wednesday. The Northridge Neptunes also did not complete their first week of action June 20, but when they resumed the Neptunes defeated Cheverly Swim Team, 286-282.

The Stingrays used their downtime wisely winning 37 of the 49 events against PGP.
