| P.G. Arc expects budget shortfall

In the wake of expected major cuts to the FY09 budget by the state Public Service Commission - consisting of Gov. Martin O'Malley, Comptroller Peter Franchot and Treasurer Nancy Kopp - some promises from the state will likely be broken, including a 1.2 percent cost of living adjustment awarded to The Arc of Prince George's County in August. "(The budget cuts) are pretty hard to take," said Mary Funk, deputy executive director of Family Services for The Arc.
