A health club in Bowie is taking its case directly to the people during the current General Assembly special session. "Oppose a Health Club Sales Tax," declares a nifty color pamphlet available at the front desk of SportFit at Whitemarsh Park. The glossy little foldout urges members to e-mail and call legislators to express opposition to a proposal that would attach a sales tax onto health club memberships.
