Jonathan Nolon: 'a leader by example, a true role model'

More than 400 attend funeral service of beloved son, BHS classmate, football player

A role model to so many, 16-year-old Jonathan Nolon, a Bowie High School student with an infectious smile, was laid to rest Monday in Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton after a memorial service at The Life Church in Camp Springs that drew more than 400 people.

Jonathan died suddenly Feb. 18 during a workout for the upcoming football season.

Family, friends, teachers, the county executive all were in attendance. Personal poems such as "When Tomorrow Starts Without Me," Scripture readings and stirring Gospel selections such as "Precious Lord" were offered by members of the church.
