Newsweek names Bowie High a top public school

In its recently released list of "America's Top Public High Schools," Newsweek magazine named Bowie High School as one of 1,500 nationwide top schools.

Bowie High was one of five Prince George's County schools to make the list (Charles Herbert Flowers, Eleanor Roosevelt, High Point and Oxon Hill were the others), and one of 83 in Maryland.
