BHS shows 'sign of turning the corner'

Lady Bulldogs sink Northwestern with barely a handful of games to go in regular season

Crediting his team's defense for taking care of things on the court and helping to keep the Bowie High Lady Bulldogs' varsity girls basketball team consistent as the regular season winds down, coach Michael Hines said that Bowie's 65-52 home win against the Northwestern Lady Wildcats was a "sign of turning the corner" for Bowie.

Someone please tell the coach the Lady Bulldogs are in second place in the Prince George's County 4A league.

With the win over NW and Tuesday's 49-36 win against Laurel - where Hines teaches - the Lady Bulldogs are 12-3 overall and 11-1 in league play. But Bowie could...
