Frustrating decisions

As a parent of two public school students, I echo the views expressed by Steven Glazer and Sandy Short regarding the county school system.

I continue to be frustrated by the decisions that are made by Superintendent Hite and the school board regarding budget and boundary changes. Do they seriously think that they are putting children first? The school budget (specifically classroom dollars) is the last place we should look to cut funding. Compared to the surrounding counties, Prince George's County doesn't spend enough on its students as it is. And when the school board isn't busy slashing...
