I love Black History Month. Ever since my peewee days at Ardmore Elementary School in Landover, I have loved the arrival of February. Other than having a few friends whose birthdays are celebrated on Groundhog Day, February is kind of a lost month to me - except for celebrating the history and achievements of African Americans.
